The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stressed that resolving the Palestinian issue is a top priority, expressing hope of ending the conflict and entering into a peace agreement that will allow security and normal relations among all the countries of the region based on the Israeli withdrawal from the Occupied Palestinian Territory, the occupied Syrian Arab Golan since 1967 and the Lebanese occupied land. This was stated in the kingdom's statement today at the United Nations before the Second Committee at its 72nd session on agenda item 63, entitled "permanent sovereignty of the Palestinian people in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and of the Arab population in the occupied Syrian Golan over their natural resources" and delivered by the third secretary in the Permanent Delegation of the Kingdom at the United Nations Mohammed bin Issam Khashan.
