Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received here today Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari and accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the Emirates. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the Iraqi Foreign Minister and discussed with him means to enhance bilateral relations, in a way that serves the mutual interests of the UAE and Iraq. They also discussed developments in both Iraqi and Arab arenas, as well as the current efforts to resolve crises, in the region and overcome challenges such as extremism and terrorism. They stressed the importance of co-ordination and solidarity among Arab countries to safeguard the region's security and stability, in addition to review regional and international issues of mutual interest.
