Secretary General of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Center for Interreligious and Interfaith Dialogue (KAICIID) Faisal bin Abdulrahman bin Muammar and Adama Dieng, United Nations Special Adviser on the Prevention of Genocide have recently signed a memorandum of understanding between KAICIID and UN Office on Genocide Prevention and Responsibility to Protect at the UN Headquarters in New York. The memorandum of understanding includes a framework for the two parties to support religious leaders and institutions in building peace, promoting and sustaining coexistence, understanding with each other by cementing social bonds and focusing on human dimensions in positive communication and cooperation that achieve the aspirations of all in security, stability, development and knowledge through the influence of religious individuals and institutions in their communities.
