Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the Kingdom's support for the Organization and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), citing the Saudi donation of $ 66.7 million to the two organization to combat the cholera epidemic in the Republic of Yemen. This came during a meeting held here today between the Saudi Minister of State and Cabinet's Member Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf on the sidelines of the G20 leaders' summit in Hamburg, Germany. Dr Adhanom also stressed that the support provided by the Kingdom contributed directly to stop and control the spread of the Cholera epidemic, hailing King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid's active role in providing relief support in general.
