Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, called on Qatari regime to abide by the rules of security and stability of Arab Gulf region, pointing out that the decision of severing ties with Doha has come as result of many years of destructive national policies carried out by Qatar regime as well as its unremmitting support for extremist and terrorist organizations. Dr. Gargash said in a statement quoted by the UAE news agency that Qatar is a neighboring country and it must abide by the rules of security and stability of the Gulf Region and it must stop playing the role of main promoter of extremism and terrorism in the region." In reference to Al Jazeera channel, he stressed that Qatar should stop using the media to promote an extremist agenda.
