Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh and Al-Yaum newspapers commented on the summits held in Riyadh, saying the joint Saudi-American statement issued marking the end of the historic summit between the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and US President Donald Trump was a turning point in Saudi-US relations. The papers indicated that the success of the summits revealed the weight of Saudi roles at regional and international arenas, as well as the excellent capabilities of the Saudi policy in seeking for unifying Arab and Islamic ranks to formulate a clear, specific and strategic vision to confront terrorism, stop Iranian interference in internal affairs, and seek for strengthening the foundations of peace, security and development. The papers noted that the Summits had demonstrated the policy of Islamic countries based on the tolerant religion of Islam calling for peace, tolerance, cooperation, renunciation of violence, chaos, and terrorism, peaceful coexistence, extending bridges of love between all religions, and collaboration for eliminating terrorist groups.
