Jordan's King Abdullah II held talks here today with Iraqi President Fuad Masoum on the historic ties between the two countries, developments in Iraq as well as current regional developments. During the talks session, the two leaders highlighted the strong ties between Jordan and Iraq as well as the importance of boosting cooperation and coordination, mainly in the political, economic and security fields and activating work of the joint committees to boost economic cooperation. The talks also dealt with progress that have been achieved in the fight against the Daesh terrorist group, in addition to efforts that aim at achieving national reconciliation with the participation of all components of the Iraqi society.
