The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) has launched its twitter account in French, bringing to four the number of international-tounge account after its Persian, English and Arabic twitter. In a statement, SPA President Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussein explained that the account aims to expand SPA zone through delivering its message to reach new readers who speak French through Twitter. In its pursuit to cope with technology in order to increase its popularity and effectivity of its contents, SPA manages to use new technology to transmit news, articles and other news products, Al-Hussein said, considering the new twitter account as a completion to SPA's effective communication approach through different outlets, including social networks, to deliver the news and the latest developments. Al-Hussain also stressed the SPA determination on moving forward to improve the agency's work in the electronic media through taking advantage of its human and technological potentials and capabilities in order to continue the achievements in this field, confirming that the social networks were able to create a different media in style, content, interaction and speed of transmitting the photo-associated news items. The SPA President expressed his appreciation of and gratitude to Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad, Minister of Culture and Information, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of SPA, for his support and interest in the efforts exerted by all ministry's departments.
