The Sam Organization for Rights and Freedoms announced monitoring of 3,587 cases of human rights violations against civilians, in Yemen, during last April. The Geneva-based organization said in a report released today that the violations included extrajudicial killings, arbitrary detention, confiscation of property, forced displacement, torture, restrictions on press freedoms and violation of human right to a fair trial. The organization urged the United Nations and humanitarian organizations to provide urgent support to the forcibly displaced civilians, in Taiz governorate and to strive to lift the siege of the villages of Al-Wafi area, in an urgent and unconditional manner.
