AlHijjah 11, 1436, Sep 25, 2015, SPA -- Ezzeddin Al-Asbahi, Yemen's Minister of Human Rights, condemned the violations systematically being committed by Houthi militias in the Yemeni city of Taiz, confirming that silence on what is happening there is a crime. In a press conference in Geneva this evening, he demanded the world community, governments, and civil society organizations to denounce the breaches in Taiz, enforce international law and work to stop such violations. Two million civilians suffer from siege by the militias in Taiz since four months and are being deprived from food, medication and all means of living, he said, adding that the rebels are shelling residential areas and hospitals. He underscored the importance of holding the perpetrators responsible and that no criminal is to miss punishment.
