Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih announced today the official launch of the initiative of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Renewable Energy. This came during the opening of the Saudi Arabia's Forum for Renewable Energy Investment, organized by the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, in Riyadh today. In his speech at the opening of the forum, Al-Falih revealed some details of the second stage of the National Renewable Energy Program, which has a total capacity of 1,200 megawatts, which will start issuing the qualification documents for a 400 MW wind power project in Domat Al-Jandal, 2017.
