Deputy Minister of Transport Nasser Sharif said that work is under way to complete the opening of the port of Al-Makha after liberation from the coup Houthi and Saleh militia, and that the ministry is working on the allocation of alternative ports to the port of Hodeidah and land access to enter humanitarian assistance through the ports controlled by the authority. He said in a statement to the official Yemeni news agency that "the ministry is working to take the necessary measures to conduct work in the ports of Hodeidah and Al-Makha after liberation, and the ministry is studying the legal, administrative, technical and financial procedures to transfer the presidency of the Red Sea Ports to Al-Makha after the government's approval of it to continue its activity in providing all necessary needs for citizens and securing maritime navigation ". He added that the port of Hodeidah has been stopped noting that it has become the only outlet for weapons smuggling and financing which the militia is still gaining by controlling the port's trade movement in parallel with what the Yemeni army and the Arab coalition are doing to complete the battle of the western coast and liberate the port of Hodeidah from the control of the coupists. The restoration of the port of Hodeidah by the Yemeni army that is supported by the coalition aircraft will be a serious blow to the coup militia as it is the only major outlet for transporting weapons and tampering with the security and safety of international navigation.
