The Palestinian Government considered the withdrawal of a report submitted by the UN Economic, Social Council for Western Asia, on Israeli racial policies, an encouragement to Israel to lead with its policies, in progress, based on occupation, killing, persecution, settlement, racial discrimination and continuous violation of international law, resolutions and charters. The government emphasized refusal of withdrawing the report, pointing that the report is depicting the ongoing practices on the ground, as the occupation government continues to lead with its policies to impose Apartheid-like system of racial discrimination on the Palestinian people in the occupied territories, Palestinian government, Spokesman Tariq Rashmawi said, concluding by hailing the humanitarian as well as patriotic stance taken by Rima Khalaf, the Executive Director of ESCOWA, who resigned her post, following a UN demand, to withdraw the report.
