The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and President Xi Jinping of People's Republic of China attended in the Chinese capital Beijing today the conclusion ceremony of Roads of Arabia Expo at China National Museum. The King and the Chinese President toured the Expo containing ancient and rare artifacts which represent the long history of the Arabian Peninsula and introduce the civilizational dimensions of the Arabian Peninsula and the cultural heritage of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The artifacts displayed in the Expo cover the period extends from the Old Stone Age (one million years Before Christ (BC) since prehistoric times, and the establishment of the Saudi state until the reign of late King Abdulaziz, the founder of modern Saudi state. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques delivered a speech in which the King said, " I am pleased to be with you at the conclusion of Roads of Arabia Expo held at China National Museum. This Expo which tells the ancient history of the Arabian Peninsula and what it represents of exchange in the field of knowledge and historical heritage strengthens the foundations of the existing relations between the two countries and contributes to forming a common culture for the peoples of the two countries about the roles of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China in building the global civilization. The Kingdom was and is still the crossroads between the East and the West, and the meeting of civilizations. China's efforts and Kingdom's participation in building the economic belt of Silk Road and Maritime Silk Road come to boost trade relations between the East and the West and increase the interaction between civilizations. --More
