Arabian Thoroughbred Horses Exhibition entitled "Horses from Arabian Peninsula to Royal Ascot" at the British Museum has attracted more than 100,000 visitors since its opening on May 24. The Exhibition to be concluded on September 30 displays the history of Arabian thoroughbred horses in Arabian Peninsula which is their original home since ancient times and they have spread around the world winning the admiration and appreciation of many fans. Visitors to the Exhibition have followed up equestrian links between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia in the field of Arabian stallions and the travel of three stallions of Arabian thoroughbred horses from Arabian Peninsula to Britain in 19th century. As many as 95 per cent of Arabian horses living in Britain now are from the offspring of these three stallions. The Exhibition's visitors will be acquainted with the heritage and civilization of Saudi Arabia and its historical artifacts and treasures, which are thousands of years old as Saudi Arabia is the original home to Arabian thoroughbred horses.
