The security spokesperson of the Interior Ministry announced today that a security man, part of a security patrol in Al-Qatif, martyred yesterday as he approached suspects in a private car who fired at him and fled away in a nearby car after seizing it under fire. He explained that, as a security patrol was practicing its usual operation at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday 15/6/1438 H. in Qatif, it suspected a "Prado" car passing near Qatif Central Hospital. Intercepting the car to investigate the matter with its driver and his companions, private/ Fahd Qaid Al-Ruwaili, was fired at by the persons in the car to death. The martyr's colleague successfully managed to impair their car, but they fled the scene covering themselves with random shooting. Then, they seized a car driven by a doctor accompanied by his wife at the hospital's parking. The security authorities still chasing the offenders. Searching the vehicle abandoned on the site, the security authorities found Molotov bombs. The vehicle itself was stolen while in Dammam on 20/7/1437H. The terrorists replaced the car's plate by another, previously driven by Mustafa Ali Abdullah Al-Madad, a wanted person, during a security operation announced on 20/7/1438H. The interior ministry stressed its keenness on the safety of citizens and expatriates as well as determination to prevent any act threating the public security.
