The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Japan today signed, on the sidelines of the visit of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Japan, an agreement on cooperation in the field of water desalination. The minister of economy and planning Adel bin Mohammed Faqih signed on behalf of the Saudi minster of environment, water and agriculture and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia while the minister of economy, trade and industry Hiroshige Seko signed on behalf of his country Japan. The agreement aims at enhancing the efforts to expand the ability of water desalination stations and increase the availability of desalinated water resources with the participation of the private sector in Japan through upgrading the level of quality of the infrastructure of water in the Kingdom.
