The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Yousef A. Al-Othaimeen, has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a hospital in the Afghan capital city of Kabul, on 8 March 2017, which claimed the lives of at least 30 people and injured many more. Expressing his shock over the cruel and inhumane act of attacking a hospital that is to be invulnerable even in the battlefield, the OIC Secretary General pointed out that this obnoxious attack has crossed all human and legal boundaries. He therefore urged the concerned Afghan authorities to take all possible measures to bring the perpetrators of the heinous act to justice. Dr. Al-Othaimeen also reiterated full solidarity of the OIC with the Afghan government in its fight against terrorism and violent extremism. The OIC Secretary General further extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, the government and people of Afghanistan and wished a speedy recovery to the injured people.
