Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Dr. Tawfiq Abdulaziz Al-Sudairy received here today a delegation from United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) currently on a visit to the Kingdom. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al-Sudairy welcomed the delegation and wished them a pleasant stay in the Kingdom, explaining the overall rights and freedoms being guaranteed by the Islamic religion, the tolerance of Islam and its great values in all aspects of life, including the guarantee of freedom and peaceful coexistence among the followers of other religions. At the end of the meeting, the members of USCIRF delegation expressed thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and good reception accorded to them, commending depth of historical relations between the two countries and mutual cooperation in various fields. The delegation also praised the efforts being exerted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the fight against extremism and terrorism, wishing to strengthen bilateral relations between the Commission and the Ministry to serve the principle of freedom.
