Yemeni President Abdu Rabbo Mansour Hadi issued a decision here today to transfer of the headquarters of the parliament to the temporary capital of Aden, in southern Yemen. According to official Yemeni news agency, President Hadi issued a republican decree No. (19) for the Year 2017 based on the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen, the Gulf Cooperation Council's member states' initiative and its executive mechanism, the outputs of the Comprehensive National Dialogue and the text of Article 66 of the Constitution of the Republic of Yemen and Article (5) of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of Representatives of Yemen. The decision came as a result of the compelling circumstances related to security situation, the danger that threatens the lives of the members of the House of Representatives and to perform their legislative and legal duties, in the capital of Sanaa, which is occupied by Houthi militia and coup forces loyal to ousted Saleh.
