On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the minister of energy, industry and mineral resources Eng. Khalid Al-Faleh, who is also chairman of the Board of Directors of King Abdulaziz University for Science and Technology, patronized the honoring ceremony for female and male winners of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques prize for the inventors and the talented which took place at KACST. Addressing the gathering, Al-Faleh said the prize comes as the country is launching its vision for 2030 and the national transformation program 2020. For his part, Dr. Turki bin Saud bin Mohammed, Chairman of the Council of Trustees of the prize, lauded the encouragement, care and support the prize is honoring from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, his Crown Prince and Deputy Crown Prince, embodying their vision of the importance of taking care and providing support for the inventors and the talented to achieve more progress and development to build a knowledge-based society. He said more than three billion Saudi Riyals were allotted for supporting 2000 programs and projects as part of the first national plan for sciences, technology and innovation and that a number of projects and programs were accredited in support for the system of scientific research and technological development in the Kingdom as per the national transformation program 2020, emanating from the Kingdom's vision 2030. The prize for the category of inventors was awarded to each of Dr. Muneer bin Mahmoud Aldsouqi, Dr. Ali bin Abdrabb Al-Rasool Al Hamza, Dr. Fares bin Dabas Al-Sweilem, Dr. Waleed bin Fahd Allafi, Dr. Ali bin Saad Al-Ghamdi, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Asiri, Dr. Basem bin Yousef Sheikh, Dr. Khalid bin Saad Abdukhair, Dr. Majed bin Muaala Al-Hazmi, Dr. Saeed bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani, Dr. Saad bin Abdullah Al-Jalil, Dr. Inas bin Mueen Al-Nashef, Dr. Khadija bint Mohammed Al-Zaydi, Dr. Iman bint Kamel Al-Dagas, Eng. Saleh bin Bidaiwe Al-Ruwaili, Eng. Saeed bin Mahd Al Mubarak, and Mohsen bin Jubran Hussein. The prize for the category of the talented went to each of Dr. Mohammed bin Manna' Al-Gattan, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Hamdan, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Huzaimi, Dr. Mohammed bin Mahrous Al Mahrous, Dr. Faten bint Abdulrahman Khorsheed and Nuha bint Talal Zaylaee.
