Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said in a statement today that "In light of available information, Security Authorities simultaneously raided two terrorist dens today morning. The first den was a rest house located in Harazat District, Jeddah, and was used by terrorists as a laboratory to make explosive belts. The Security Authorities cordoned off the area. Two individuals in the rest house started firing heavily on security men, ignoring all calls to them to surrender. The security men responded accordingly. As the two individuals were not able to escape, they blew themselves up, exploding the laboratory in the rest house. None of the residents in the area, passersby or security men were harmed. The second den was a residential apartment in Naseem District, Jeddah, where security men managed to arrest a third individual before he could resist. He is associated with the two individuals in the rest house and his name is Hussam bin Saleh bin Samran Al-Juhani (Saudi national). A woman named Fatima Ramadan Baluchi Ali Murad (Pakistani national) was also arrested along with him. Al-Juhani claimed that she is his wife. In the apartment, security men seized a machine gun, booby-trapped bag and cell phones being prepared to be used in triggering a bomb. The security authorities are investigating the incident and will announce the findings in detail later."
