Fourteen people are reported dead and 17 others injured after a bus crashed into a ravine on Malaysia's North-South Expressway early Saturday morning, according to local media. According to dpa, the accident occurred near the west coast of town of Muar, after the driver lost control of the bus and it fell 20 feet into a ravine, local broadcaster Astro Awani said. Muar police department's Azman Ayob said seven women, a young girl and six men were killed, including the driver. He said the bus, carrying 30 passengers, was travelling from Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur, according to the broadcaster. Malaysia's New Straits Times newspaper said the accident happened around 3:40 am Saturday (1940 GMT Friday).
