Minister of Finance Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan said that the State's general budget for the fiscal year 1438/1439H (2017) includes broad plans and economic and social development programs aiming to prepare the Kingdom for the future and to improve the level of performance of the government and private sectors and to promote transparency and to raise the efficiency of spending in order to raise the quality of services being provided to achieve the welfare of the citizen. He added that this budget is an important step towards development and modernization of the Kingdom's economy in order to keep its position and continued growth. This came in a press conference held at the headquarters of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) in Riyadh today with participation of Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qassabi, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development Ahmad bin Saleh Al-Humidan and Deputy Minister of Economy and Planning Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri. "The budget focused on financial reform and disciplined economic management. The published figures today reveal the significant progress we have made in this regard.
