The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned the two terrorist attacks in Maiduguri on 11 December 2016 and Madagali on 9 December 2016 in Adamawa State in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, killing at least 44 civilians and injuring over 33 others. OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and to the people and Government of Nigeria, wishing the wounded speedy recovery. The Secretary General reaffirmed the OIC's commitment to continue to support the efforts of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in its war against terrorism and violent extremism, underscoring the OIC's firm position that condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
