The Council of Economic Affairs and Development held a meeting at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh this evening, chaired by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, who is also chairman of the council. During the meeting, a number of economic and developmental issues were reviewed with relevant recommendations taken, including a proposal submitted by the stock market authority regarding ways of achieving the Kingdom's vision 2030. Among the most prominent aspects of the program are enhancing the role of stock market in the provision of finance resources, increasing the market attraction for investors, developing the regulatory environment, upgrading the levels of governance and transparency and promoting the knowledge and technical abilities of the market players.
