Saudi Grains Organization has announced offering its first tender for importing an amount of 960,000 tons of feed barley during the period of January-March 2017 to be shipped on board 16 ships. The Director General of the Organization Engineer Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Faris said that the step came as an extension of the Kingdom's plan to meet the domestic demand for feed barley and maintain its strategic reserves. The director pointed out that the organization has listed a number of 24 international companies specialized in the field of grain trade to compete in the quantities offered in its global tenders and all procedures and results of tenders will be available on its Web site.
