Doctors have amputated Brazilian footballer Jackson
Follman's right leg, Colombian hospital San Vicente Fundacion says,
after the Chapecoense reserve goalkeeper survived a plane crash that killed 19 of his teammates, according to dpa.
In a statement, hospital medical director Ferney Rodriguez said Follman underwent surgery early Tuesday to amputate his leg and is now "in the process of stabilization in intensive care." Meanwhile, thousands of Chapecoense fans flocked to the team's Arena Conda stadium in the southern Brazilian city of Capeco to mourn the loss of the team.
