Security Spokesman of the Ministry of Interior said in a statement today that "Reference is made to the crime of killing 1st private at the Armed Forces Abdullah bin Nasser bin Mudhi Al-Rashidi by a machine gun while he was driving his own car on the ring road in Tabuk City on Sunday 20/02/1438H. The security authorities managed to identify and arrest the perpetrator on Wednesday 23/02/1438H. His name is Hayel bin Zaal bin Mohammed Al-Autowi (Saudi national). A machine gun was seized and laboratory tests have proven that this gun was used in the crime. Seven individuals were also arrested in connection with the crime. The murderer admitted that he adopts Daesh terrorist thought and that he committed the crime in response to the call made by Daesh to target military personnel. Investigations are ongoing."
