Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Youm and Al-Sharq newspapers commented on the new truce in Yemen, saying that no political observer believes that the new truce, which began yesterday, will allow the delivery of aid of food supplies and medicines to the affected provinces in Yemen, especially the province of Taiz, where the putschists besiege the province and deport its people, noting that most suspicions indicate that the militias of Al-Houthi and ousted Saleh will break the truce as they have broken previous series of truces. The papers pointed out that reliance for the time being is on the new track of the United Nations blessed by the Kingdom and the Yemeni legitimacy relating to pushing forward the political path between the conflicting parties, as the political solution as confirmed by the United Nations remains the most appropriate solution to end the war in Yemen, and this will be achieved by persuading the Yemeni government to return to peace negotiations after the settlement of the reasons for the rejection expressed by the government about the return to the negotiating table.
