The Command of Coalition Forces to Support Legitimacy in Yemen declared that 48-hour ceasefire in Yemen starting at 12 p.m. on 19, Safar, 1438H corresponding to 19, November, 2016. The ceasefire is extendable as long as Houthi militias and forces loyal to them abide by the truce, including allowing the entry of humanitarian aid to the besieged areas, particularly Taz City, and lifting the siege imposed on it. The coalition forces added that the truce includes that representatives of coup side at the Coordination Committee shall come to Dhahran Aljanoub. The coalition forces stressed that the truce was made according to a message received by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud from Yemeni President Abdu Rabu Mansour Hadi which came in response to efforts exerted by the United Nations and international community to establish peace in Yemen and exert efforts to delivery and distribution of the humanitarian and medical assistance to the Yemeni people. The coalition forces will abide by the cease-fire according to the message of the Yemeni President, adding that they will respond to any acts or military movements committed by the Houthi militias and their supporters in Yemen. The coalition announces that air and maritime inspection will continue during the ceasefire period as well as aerial reconnaissance for any movements of the Houthi militias and forces loyal to them.
