The command of the Arab coalition forces to support the legitimacy in Yemen issued a statement which reads: In response to a request by Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, in his letter to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the king of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, dated on 19/10/2016 with the following text: Dear brother Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, I send you, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, my very best greetings and appreciation. I would like to Inform you that through international and regional moves among the United Nations, us and the coalition, it was agreed on the declaration of a ceasefire for 72 hours under the terms the most important of which are the adherence of the Houthis and their allies to the cease-fire and allowing humanitarian aid to enter areas under siege, especially the city of Taiz and the lifting of its siege, and the coming of representatives of the coup party in the pacification commission to Dhahran Aljanoob and based on our desire to implement this, it has been decided to announce a ceasefire for three days starting on Wednesday, 19/10/2016 at eleven and fifty nine minutes p.m. where military actions will be stopped by the coalition forces, and in the event of continuation by the Houthi militias and the forces loyal to them of any actions or any military movements in any area, they will be confronted by the coalition forces, with the continuation of the air ban, sea and air inspection and survey of any moves by the Houthi militias and troops loyal to them. I hope you, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and your brethren, the leaders of the coalition countries, to kindly support this move for the sake of our quest to achieve security and stability for our country, with the leadership and people valuing your support and your noble positions in Yemen. Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, It was decided to start a cease-fire as of the time (11:59) pm Yemen time on Wednesday, 18 Muharram 1438 AH, corresponding to October 19, 2016 G. and for a period of (three) days as stated in the letter of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, the President of the Republic of Yemen, and for the entrance and distribution of the greatest possible humanitarian and medical assistance to the brotherly Yemeni people, as the coalition forces will abide by the cease-fire, with the continuation of the air and maritime embargo and inspection and aerial reconnaissance of any moves by the Houthi militias and troops loyal to them, and we pray to God to save the brotherly people of Yemen from all harm.
