Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Al-Shiekh received at his office in Riyadh today Yemen's Minister of Endowments and Guidance Dr. Ahmed Atiyah and the accompanying delegation. During the meeting, aspects of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom and Yemen in the fields of Islamic action were discussed. Following the meeting, Dr. Atiyah said the discussion focused on the call and religious issues of mutual concern for the two ministries, describing the meeting as fruitful. He lauded the Kingdom's role in supporting Islamic causes, citing its pro-legitimacy in Yemen and its service for more than one billion Muslims through its hosting of Hajj, Umrah and visit. He added that the Houthi attempt to attack Makkah is targeting all Muslims in the world, citing that this is the third in history attack against Makkah, with the Houthi attack coming after Abraha's and Taher Al-Garmati's attack in the fourth Hijra century. He confirmed Yemen's support for the Kingdom in any measures it might take to protect the sacred places.
