Executive Council of Federation of Universities of Islamic World (FUIW) has strongly condemned the heinous crime committed by Houthi coup leaders and their supporters, armed sponsors and instigators when a ballistic missile attack by Houthi towards the holy Makkah region was launched. This came during the Council's 21st session of FUIW which was hosted yesterday by Qatar University under the Chairmanship of Rector of Imam Muhammad Bin Saud Islamic University, Dr. Suleiman bin Abdullah Aba Al-Khail in the presence of Director General of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization - ISESCO and FIUW Secretary General Dr Abdulaziz Othman Al-Twaijri. The Council described this heinous act as a major crime and a disregard for the sanctity of the holy Grand Mosque, Qiblah of Muslims and the cradle of Islam, as it represents as a brutal assault, and outrageous provocation to the feelings of the Islamic nation as a whole. It also affirmed its standing with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to face the malignant criminal act and counter those who stand behind it, and its full support for the efforts being exerted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his government to take care of the Two Holy Mosques, and protect them from each conspiracy aimed at threatening the security and peace and sowing strife and discord among Muslims.
