The legitimate government, in Yemen, confirmed rejecting any dialogue, whatsoever, with the putschists, in regard to the presidency office, as an institution, in the country. In a press statement, the Deputy Premier and Minister of Civil Service Abdulaziz Jabbari, following a meeting here today with the US Ambassador to Yemen Matthew H. Tueller, that talks about the institution of the presidency cannot be accepted, but through the ballot box and the popular will. The Yemeni official's remarks came, in response to recent peace roadmap presented by the UN Envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh, rejected by the Yemeni government. Jabbari underscored the importance for return of the state institutions, delivery of arms and showing respect for the Yemeni people's will that chosen the president through elections, pointing out that the rejection of the political forces of the road map provided by the UN envoy, reflects the fact that the initiative is unfair as it aim to legitimize the coup and its effects and reward the coup, a matter that constitutes explicit contravention of the UN Security Council resolution no. 2216, adopted under Chapter VII and to circumvent it and the Gulf initiative as well, culminating in demolition of the outputs of the national dialogue, which various Yemeni political forces, social and youth groups have taken part.
