Bahrain has strongly condemned the launch by the coup militias in Yemen of a ballistic missile towards Makkah, stressing that targeting Islam's scared sites was a provocation to all Muslims across the world and a despicable criminal act that has transgressed all religious, moral and humanitarian boundaries. In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that it stood by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting terrorism and anyone who attempts to target the kingdom or the sacred sites. Bahrain called on all Islamic countries and members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to stand collectively against the heinous act and its perpetrators and supporters. Bahrain stressed its steadfast stance in supporting legitimacy in Yemen until security and peace are restored in the sisterly country and the government, led by President Abd Rabbo Mansoor, is able to assume all its responsibilities, resulting in a peaceful settlement based on the GCC Initiative, the outcome of the national dialogue and Security Council Resolution 2216.
