Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Minister of Energy, Industry and Mineral Resources, met here today with Director General of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde. During the meeting, they discussed the global oil markets as well as efforts exerted by the Kingdom and OPEC and non-OPEC countries in order to stabilize market and improve prices. They also discussed the Kingdom's plans to reduce the Saudi economy's dependence on oil and development of non-oil sectors and strengthening the role of the private sector in addition to create more job opportunities for citizens through the Kingdom Vision 2030 and the National Transformational Program. Eng. Al-Falih disclosed that the Saudi economy is strong and solid, pointing out that the current policies followed by the Kingdom will lead the Saudi economy towards a better future.
