The Ministers of Culture of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) for Arab States held their 22nd meeting here today. The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was headed by Minister of Commerce and Investment and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi. At the outset of the meeting, Dr. Al-Qasabi conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown Prince to the Ministers of Culture of the Gulf Cooperation Council and their wishes of success for this meeting to achieve the desired goals. He welcomed the GCC culture ministers in their second country, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, wishing them a pleasant stay, hoping that they reach in their meeting what satisfies the aspirations of the GCC leaders and achieves all progress for their peoples. Minister Dr. Al-Qasabi considered this meeting as a valuable opportunity to assess the work over the past year and set plans and programs for the next phase in which the region is experiencing significant challenges. For his part, the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani expressed in his speech his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, and the Deputy Crown Prince, also thanking the ministers for their efforts to enhance communication between cultural institutions in the GCC states, praising the symposium of strengthening Gulf identity held last September in Kuwait and came up with ideas and proposals that are very important to achieve great successes at the level of the GCC joint cultural action.
