Saudi ships docked at King Abdul Aziz Naval Base in the eastern fleet after they concluded maneuvers Gulf Shield-1, which was launched last week in the waters of the Arabian Gulf and crossed the Strait of Hormuz until they reached the Sea of Oman. Eastern Fleet commander Rear Admiral Fahd bin Abdullah Ghufeili explained that during sailing, the ships of his majesty the king conducted several naval exercises and combat formations in the sea as well as the Marine Corps and units of the Marine Special Security carried out numerous exercises and drills and concluded the maneuvers by live ammunition shooting by the ships and naval air forces of the eastern fleet on surface and air targets with efficiency. Fleet commander stated that the results of these exercises will be reviewed for development and improvement.
