The Joint Air Exercise Saqr Al Jazeera (Fighter Jets in 2016) was concluded, at Al-Dhafra Air Base, in Abu Dhabi, which lasted 22 days, with participation of the Royal Saudi Air Force and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states air forces. The Commanding officer exercise, from the Royal Saudi Air Force Col. Pilot Mohammed bin Mahdi Al-Zahrani said that exercise falls in the framework of joint cooperation of the military and coordination between the Royal Saudi Air Force and its GCC counterparts, stressing the importance of these joint exercises and its active role, in raising the level combat efficiency, operational and tactical capabilities, through the exchange of experiences and skills among the troops participating, in such exercises, in all processes, as well as putting them on high alert to counter any threat.
