Pakistan Ulema Council lauded the efforts being exerted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in the service of pilgrims, leading to the success of the just-concluded this year's Hajj. During a meeting of Shura Council of the Leadership of Pakistan Ulema Council Association in the Pakistani city of Lahor, the Council warned today from the grave consequences of the U.S. Justice Against Sponsors of Terror Act (JASTA), recently passed by U.S. congress, on world security, noting that this law enhances terrorism and extremism. The Council also denounced the raids being launched by Assad regime and Russian forces on innocent civilians in the Syrian city of Halab (Allepo) and other Syrian areas, calling on the world community to take serious, prompt and firm steps to stop the current massacres against the Syrian people. The Council also expressed support for the right of the people of Kashmir in self-determination and backed the Pakistani government's measures and those taken by the Pakistani army in response to across-the-border Indian fires. The Council urged Ulema to reject sectarianism and denounce terror act being committed in the name of Islam and to work for Islamic unity and support for the Saudi decisions in defense of Islam and Mulism and the safeguard of the two holy mosques. The Council also expressed support for MWL's recently-concluded conference held in Makkah which called for the stoppage of regional interference in the internal affairs of Arab and Islamic countries to deal with the challenges facing the Islamic nation. The Council denounced the recommendations issued by Chechen conference which was recently held in the Chechen capital under the theme "who are Ahl Al-Sunna and the Group (followers of Prophet Mohammed's deeds and sayings).
