King Abdulaziz International Airport, in Jeddah, completed its preparations of Hajj and Umrah to receive pilgrims, with a total number expected to stand at 850,000 pilgrims, for the this year Hajj season of 1437 AH. The first stage of the arrival of the pilgrims had begun on last Thursday, the first of November and will end by the end of the fourth day of a next month. The main 14 halls at the complex of Hajj and Umrah at King Abdulaziz International Airport accommodates for more than 3,800 pilgrims per hour. There are 13 showrooms for the arrival of passengers, in addition to the lounge No. 11 which is devoted to the pilgrims related to flights of Saudi Arabian Airlines coming from Medina. It includes 10 bridges to transit passengers and 14 parks connected to halls for aircraft, in addition 10 conveyors moving to transport passengers' luggage. Moreover, there are also four areas of customs with 16 counters, 120 operational units and 5 locations of passports procedures with 142 counters, in addition to the VIP lounge.
