German air officials say a plane arriving from Bulgaria has left the tarmac and obstructed the runway after landing in Stuttgart, disrupting services at the airport, AP reported. Airport manager Walter Schoefer told news agency dpa the plane stopped on grass as it turned off the runway. He said passengers were unhurt and left the aircraft normally using stairs. Schoefer said the plane was too close to the runway for other aircraft to take off or land safely, so arriving flights were being diverted to other airports in southern Germany for a few hours at least. The accident happened at the end of a flight Sunday from the city of Varna about 11.30 a.m. (0930 GMT). No suspected cause was stated.
