Authorities evacuated a shopping centre in the northern German city of Bremen Wednesday over concerns about an escaped psychiatric patient but said the incident was unrelated to terrorism, according to dpa. Police said the 19-year-old man disappeared from a psychiatric facility in the adjoining county of Diepholz and was later spotted in the shopping centre. But a search of the 66,000-square-metre complex, which holds 170 shops and restaurants, failed to turn up the suspect and police ordered it evacuated as a precaution. A supermarket in Bremen's Neustadt district was also briefly evacuated and cordoned off Wednesday afternoon after a bomb threat.
