Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir on Thursday in Washington, DC, met with a number of senior members of the US Congress during his current visit to the United States of America. He met with Senator John McCain, Chairman of the Defence Committee in the US Senate, Senator Bob Corker, chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Ben Cardin, Senator Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Foreign Appropriations Committee and Senator Michael McColl, Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security. The minister also met with US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Anne Patterson. During the meetings, they discussed a number of regional and international issues including the latest developments in Yemen and the Syrian crisis and efforts to combat terrorism and the peace process in the Middle East, in addition to following up the results of the recent visit to Washington by Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Second Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister.
