Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir met with a number of leaders of the United States Congress on 8 and 9 February during his visit to the United States of America. He also made a telephone call to Senator Lindsey Graham, Chairman of Foreign Appropriations Committee. Al-Jubeir met with Senator Bob Corker, Chairman of Senate Foreign Relations Committee; Senator Richard Burr, Chairman of Senate Intelligence Committee; Senator John McCain, Chairman of Senate Armed Services Committee; Senator Ed Markey, Member of Senate Foreign Relations Committee; Senator Dick Durbin, Assistant leader of the Democratic minority in Congress; Congressman Ed Royce, Chairman of House Foreign Relations Committee; Senator Mitch McConnell, Senate majority leader and his Democratic counterpart Eliot Engel; Senator James Risch, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Foreign Relations of Near East, South Asia, Central Asia and Counterterrorism; Senator Jack Reed, Member of Armed Services Committee; and Senator Dan Sullivan, Member of the Armed Services Committee and Member of the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation of the Senate. During the meetings, they discussed a number of topics of concern to the two countries, as well as bilateral relations in all fields of joint cooperation. The meetings were attended by Prince Abdullah bin Faisal bin Turki, Saudi Ambassador to the United States of America, Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations Dr. Khalid Al-Jandan, and Director of Information Affairs Department Ambassador Osama Nuqali.
