At least six people were killed and eight missing from Typhoon Nepartak in eastern China, dpa quoted state media as reporting on Monday. The storm arrived in Fujian province on Saturday bringing heavy rain and strong gusts of wind, but weakened Sunday into a tropical storm. Fields, villages and some urban areas were flooded and houses and roads destroyed, Xinhua news agency reported. More than 400,000 people were evacuated, it said.
