Palestinian President Meets French Envoy to Middle East Peace Process

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met here on Saturday with French Envoy for the Peace Process Pierre Vimont.
During the meeting, the Palestinian president was briefed on the French efforts to prepare for the convening of an international peace conference, before the end of this year, Palestinian News Agency reported, pointing out that President Abbas reiterated his support for the French initiative, in order to create a clear political horizon, stressing official Palestinian rejection of the latest report of the Quartet, in which it retreated from some international accords.
