The General Authority of Civil Aviation signed today a lease and operation contract of a new hotel at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah with Ascott International Company Limited. The Director General of the Authority's Commercial Development and Property and its representative at the signing of the contract Sakhir bin Abdulrahman Al-Melhem pointed out that the new hotel area, which occupies the second floor of the building of the new executive office of the south hall of the airport, is 4,500 square meters and consists of 110 residential units ranging from rooms and suites, as well as a gym, restaurants, and meeting rooms, noting that the hotel is expected to open in the month of Dhu Al-Hijjah this year and it will be a 5 or 4 star hotel. Al-Melhem confirmed that the contract comes in line with the vision of the Kingdom 2030, especially as it puts the traveler services at the forefront of its priorities, seeks to improve services at airports in all the Kingdom, and improves and upgrades airports in order to ensure the achievement of a quantum leap in the services being provided for travelers.
