At least eight people were killed after two buses collided in Vietnam's central highlands on Sunday, officials said, according to dpa. The accident took place in Lam Dong province when a bus lost control and hit a construction worker on the road before colliding into another bus from the opposite direction, said Truong Huu Hiep, director of the local transport department. The worker and six passengers, including a child, were killed immediately, while another person later died in the hospital, Tuoi Tre newspaper reported. Thirty-three people were hospitalized, many with severe injuries and in critical condition, officials and doctors said The two buses were heavily damaged. The case is under investigation.
